I (Amy Dawson-Smith) have always been an animal person. as a small child I rescued baby bird, hatched abandoned bird eggs. Caught pollywogs and kept them until they grew into frogs. rescued kittens and bunnies, fish and toads, turtles and other creatures. My family always had pet's like kittens and dogs, birds we even had a pet racoon and a monkey. So it is no surprise that this love of animals continued when I met and married my husband of almost thirty years, Lee. We had kittens and puppies, and then our children, and more Kittens and puppies.
For much of our children youth we had Golden Retrievers and then we rescued a YORKIE.
Oh, how he captured our hearts. He was quirky cute and fun and playful but affectionate too. He did not shed and was small enough to go with us every where.
As then, when he passed, I purchased a New Yorkie Puppy, then I thought she might want a yorkie friend of her own and I got her a Yorkie Sister. Well, if two are good why not have three?
Oops, Yes Yorkies can become an addiction. The more the merrier. Then we became more educated on all issues like health, genetics, veterinary care and so much more. We became AKC Yorkshire Terrier Breeders.
So that is where we are today, Top Rated Yorkie Breeders who now have three Maltese Females and one Maltese Male added to our "Breeding Program"
We are fortunate to have these beautiful little dogs and puppies in our lives. We thank the good Lord for each and every one of them and the experiences and joy's we are blessed with.
