Amy --- we love Piper!  She has the best life here!  I have a custom car seat for her in my car monogrammed with "Piper Prem" and she goes everywhere with me.  I have a great dog carrier and she goes to coffee with my girlfriends and we sneak into all kinds of stores. She just loves being with me.  She really enjoys her "brothers" Cooper (our Springer Spaniel) and Butler (our Cocker).  They wrestle so much and take off running in the yard and have a great time.  Piper sleeps with me in my big bed --- she has her own side all barricaded in with pillows and has a perfect routine.

She is hugged and loved on all the time and carried around.  She manages around the house perfectly.  People love her and I have passed your name on to so many of them telling them how great you were and how lovely Piper is.  Her demeanor is fab!

Here is a pic from Thanksgiving with Grace (11) and Brenna (8).  Also we took Piper to the beach for the first time after Thanksgiving to our beach house in Sandestin Florida.  She made the flight perfectly and we will take her down 4 times or so each year.

Hope you have a great holiday!  Thanks again!!!!

Love, Jane, Grace and Brenna Prem

Dear Amy and Lee,

We  will never be able to express how amazing the experience
has been since bringing Chloe home. I have only had large dogs my whole
life and was not sure it was the best idea to have a small yorkie while
having my 105 lb. boxer ( who thinks he is a 2 lb. yorkie ) but I have to
say  they really have bonded. She took to him the minute we walked in the
door with no trepidation at all but it took about a week of very guarded
interaction to get him adjusted to the idea she wasn't a toy and he
couldn't sit on her or hit her with his paw..( that's how he shows
affection)...she lights up when he walks in to the rm. and he is so gentle
with her it's amazing but we still are very careful to not leave them
unsupervised.

I credit you and Lee for breeding and raising a puppy that
is not only gorgeous but  incredibly smart and affectionate not to mention
has the best temperament of any puppy I've ever had ...I can't tell you
the joy she has brought to me and my family... If anyone was even
considering getting a yorkie I would tell them there is only one place to
go and that would be to you and Lee without a doubt you both really care
so much and it really shows in Chloe ....Thank you for all your support
and patience with all my questions and concerns through this process Itruly appreciate it...

Take care and I will keep you updated with pictures
as she grows. All the best to you and your family,

..Fondly Tracy Lakow

Amy,

Just wanted to let you know little Sophie Susanne (aka Carolina) is doing great!  My goodness, she is adorable and the perfect pup for us.  I love, just LOVE her ears!  When she runs or plays they turn backwards (like miniature horns)  and bounce!  I suppose if I shaved the hair off of them they would stand straight up, but this is way too cute..   She is still lovin' her pudding before bed.  And enjoying some scrambled egg in the morning and munching on her Canine food during the day.  So far, so good. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The down side is that Shermie isn't liking her one bit!  She got nipped yesterday (she squealed!) and now she just comes up to him and lays down with her legs outstretched, although she forgets sometimes and comes pouncing towards him.  He growls at her and she takes off the other way...I really do hate it that he isn't kinder to her.  She is loving the leaves outside when we go out to exercise; driving my husband crazy!  He doesn't want her to put the leaves in her mouth to play so he is constantly trying to get them all picked up.

Don't you miss her?  How do you do it?  I mean let them go??...These little creatures are so extraordinarily special...of course, if you didn't let them go, we wouldn't get to have them...

Trust all is going well with your husband's retirement...and your litters...

We had been searching for over a year for a good breeder of Yorkies.  We had visited between eight and ten different breeders in Ohio.  When we would enter the areas the dogs had access to, there was a smell and dirty atmosphere about the places.  We saw many dogs that appeared to be underfed including the mothers.  Not all the dogs were bonded with the breeder.  They ran wild and if we gave them any attention, they attached themselves to us in a desperate manner.  From the moment of stepping into Amy’s home, we were greeted by energetic, happy, and loving animals.  The dogs wanted to greet us and then they ran and played amongst themselves.  They would come over for some attention and petting, then they would all end up surrounding Amy.  If we picked up one of the puppies, we were inundated with kisses.  Amy’s delightful dogs would wag their tails and kiss us and one older dog even claimed my husband as hers.

We decided to purchase our puppy from Amy from this first visit.  The puppy we purchased is the happiest little ball of energy we have ever had.  She adapted well to our home and our older dog.  She crept into our hearts and brings us such joy.  Our vet checked her out completely and was very pleased to see how healthy and well adjusted she was.  When he picked her up and looked her in the eyes, he said, “You got a good one.  She has personality and no amount of money can buy that!”

Our little puppy enjoys walking, running after a ball, bike riding, and enjoys going out for a ride in the car.  She entertains herself with her toys when our older dog is tired from playing.  She isn’t disturbed by storms and eats everything we offer her.  She plays so well with our first dog that they are buddies through and through.  I attribute her adjustment to our home to the love and care Amy gave her as a new pup.  We can pick her up and play with her ears, feet, and tickle her tummy with no reaction but kisses from her.  She is so much fun.  I am very glad we had Amy to bring her into this world and prepare her for her new family to make her the best pet ever.  Our little girl is a Diva Extraordinaire.  She loves to be dressed up and shown off. She loves people and enjoys the attention she gets when we take her out walking and shopping.  She is the cutest cuddle bug and she falls asleep in our arms and trusts us completely and has since the first day we met her.

I recommend any dog, puppy or older, from Amy Dawson-Smith.  You will be sure to get a loving, playful, happy, and affectionate companion with any animal from Amy.  I know if I ever get another puppy, it will be one of Amy’s adorable dogs.  Should you have any questions or concerns or just want a verbal confirmation of this recommendation, please contact Amy and she will get us in touch.

Hi Amy,

I just wanted to wish you a wonderful holiday season! Attached is a picture of our perfect little angel - Lefty celebrated his second birthday on July 22nd. I read in your blog that you were looking for names of previous clients for referral purposes, and just wanted to let you know that I would be more than happy to talk to any of your potential clients.  You can always feel free to give out my name and number (Katie Totten at 412-341-2172 - we live in Pittsburgh).

From the moment I stepped foot into your house I could tell you ran a first class operation. You knew every puppy by name and knew their exact personality (on your site you listed Lefty's personality and his size to the tee). It was also very obvious that you and your family showered the puppies with tons of love and attention - the fact that they run to your visitors, actually jumping over one another to get there first, so that they can give out kisses states volumes about their up-bringing and their excellent socialization. You breed beautiful, healthy dogs that have personality plus! I can honestly say that you bred the most perfect dog in the world with our little Lefty. He has a beautiful face with tiny features, a gorgeous show coat and a killer personality loaded with spunk and love. Lefty is three pounds of pure joy that LOVES to play catch and shower us with kisses all day. Every time I leave the house with him I get  stopped several times by non-yorkie owners stating they want a dog just like him and also by current yorkie owners saying they have never seen a yorkie with such a beautiful face.

He truly has been an angel for my whole family. If anyone has a hard day they stop over to visit, because as soon as you see him your stress just melts away. No one in the world could ever give you a better greeting... he is either scratching at the door with excitement or if someone is holding him, he stretches out both paws and waves them up and down until you come over to give him a kiss.

I cannot thank you enough for bringing him into our life.

Warmest Regards,

Katie
